skylarking: (ftw!)
This may very well be the best thing I have ever seen in my entire life:

Star Trek does Monty Python )
skylarking: (sarcasm is)
I have three bags of plain flour in my cupboard. I have no idea why I have that many. I must not have been paying attention when I was making a shopping list a few times.

I like this unusual jigsaw page someone sent to me at work. It's floaty.

In other news, the Belgian girl with stars tattooed on her face admits that she was lying. She did ask for 56 stars and was aware of what the tattooist was doing, but after she had them done she started to worry that her dad would freak out so she pretended it wasn't her fault. There's a lesson here somewhere, kids, but I'm not sure what it is. Probably something simple like, 'try not to be stupid'.

I like how halfway though the night the cat goes, "Oh hai, fud timez nao!"

[livejournal.com profile] silverweave you can find Sit Down You're Rocking The Boat here. Enjoy :)

[livejournal.com profile] indigo_blind, curiosity got the better of me and I Googled 'High School Musical Slash' and found [livejournal.com profile] idontdance the community for Chad/Ryan shippers (Chyan? Rhad? Cyan? Ryad?) I truly believe that there is a community for everything on LJ.

I'm pleased to announce that my flat is now tidy. The piles of stuff have now been properly distributed. This will probably last about four days.

I have so much stuff, I don't know where it all comes from; there were knitting patterns in various rooms, a bank statement that I hadn't opened and I found a Mills and Boon book that I forgotten I'd bought.

Speaking of Mills and Boon, I was thinking earlier as I was putting a couple of them into the charity bag that keeps getting bigger and bigger in my spare room that I haven't managed or organise myself into starting on my romance novel yet and I though, 'I could do it for NaNoWriMo', then I reeled for a while. When I did NaNo before it completely took over my brain for a month and wasn't sure if I would want to do it again...I think I'll have to ruminate on that.

Quote of the day
Honk if you scrapbook ~ Bumper sticker seen in the window of a craft shop.

Made me LOL.

It's funny because it's true )

Christian the lion, the reunion story. It's sweet and kind of brilliant, not least for the fabulous 70's hair and fashion :).

Also cool: Doctor Who Proms on BBC iPlayer I've just started listening to it now so I don't know what it's like but I thought it was worth linking. There's a news story about the event here. I wish I'd had tickets, it must have been amazing.

I'm going to go and do something productive now, probably.

New fabulous icon!

The pie chart of Rick Astley: He's never gonna...

My favourite LOL cat of the moment )

Website with Doctor Who patterns including a Face of Boe! Genius.

I hate it when the clocks go forwards, I always feel robbed. Why can't they take a hour from Monday? Weekends are short as it is. The rest of mine is going to be taken up with making my tea, watching I'll Do Anything, a programme about tigers then Supernatural. There'll probably be cups of tea as well.

This Lolcat made me LOL )

I have a couple of office related Lolcat pictures stuck around my desk (I is in aphabatical and so forth) and someone asked me the other day if they were pictures of my cat. It's hard to explain Lolcats to someone who has never heard of them without sounding like a loon.

I have Friday off, so tomorrow is my last working day for this week. WOOT!

That's all I have right now.
skylarking: (ten things)
~ I did lots of watching of stuff this weekend:
Heroes: Excellent!
Snakes on a plane: Very, very silly. Worth watching for the line, "That's enough! I've had it with the mother fucking snakes on this mother fucking plane!" The best thing about it was probably that every one in it knew how silly it was and just went with it.
V for Vendetta: Also excellent. My dad's been nagging me for ages to see it and I understand why now.

~ I bought a little cactus for my desk at work and I've named him Mr Spiky. I read somewhere that having a cactus on your desk will help deflect negative energy and that can't be a bad thing; plus I can prickle anyone who annoys me.

~ Limewire wins at the internets. I downloaded the Harry Potter and the Scorcerers Stone audio book from Limewire today, it's the America version so Stephen Fry isn't reading it but it was free so I'm not going to complain. I'm downloading Chamber of Secrets now.

~ Also winning at the internets: If V is for Vendetta, C is for Cookie
