...your call is very important to us. NOT
Aug. 16th, 2004 07:29 pmAt some point during the 45 minutes I spent on hold trying to speak to a human being at BT I seem to have lost the will to live. All I wanted to ask was whether or not I owed them money, or it they owed me (of course, if their bills made sense I wouldn't have that problem). It turns out I'm in credit and they owe me. HA!
I spoke to my mum last night. Moon, (short for Big Fat Moon Belly) one of her rats died last week. She'd been getting older and slower for a while and really what was keeping her alive was my mum hand feeding her Weetabix and chocolate and giving her reki every day. She found her dead last weekend (and was really upset, my sister came down stairs to find my mum sat on the couch with Moon on her lap stroking and talking to her) but she wasn't able to bury her in the garden till later in the week because it was raining too much.
My mum said she's kept a box to bury Moon in, and while she was waiting for the rain the stop she had Moon in the box on the alter in her bedroom.
It strikes me that, in some families, this might be regarded as strange...
I'm glad, to be honest, that mine isnt' one of them.
My mum, if you are wondering, is fine now. Moon has gone off to become one with the love and light in the universe. And she does have 4 other rats, not to mention my sister's 5.
