skylarking: (bored now)
I slept badly last night so I feel a bit loopy this morning. I don't think I should attempt anything too complicated today.

this just has to be linked. Apparently Heath Ledger and Jake G..however you spell it were going at the sex scene in their new film so vigorously that Jake broke his nose.

What can you say to that really? *evil grin*

Right, I'm off to print some invoices out.

Hi ho, Hi ho, it's off to work I go, with a shovel and a spade and a hand grenade, Hi ho, Hi ho hi ho hi ho...

Sort of.

I've just been to see Bridget Jones - End of Reason. It wasn't bad actually. I was expecting it to be really crap but it was quite funny. Colin Firth was lovely as expected. It's all nonsense of course, anyone that insecure and clueless woudn't be able to function in the world. She's be in a bed sit somewhere rocking. But who wants reality?

Paul was marvelous today. I've never seen anyone do so little work with such style.

When I have days at work where I slack I still to manage to get a few things done, I just do them slowly and without any real enthusiasm - a letter here, some filling there. But he did nothing this morning and then made a phone call or two and had a half hearted attempt at a letter this afternoon. I don't know how he can fill so much of his time with so little. But he manages it. It's an work of art. If you moved his workstation to the Tate Modern and just left him sitting there carrying on business as usual you could win a prize.

But never mind, I'm not his line manager so it's not my problem. I just find it astounding sometimes.

Someone living below me is playing Abba loud enough for me to hear quite clearly. I like Abba but I want to go to sleep very soon. I may have to kill them.
