skylarking: (callous willow)
Today was, well it was a Monday really.

I got very little done at work. I just couldn’t muster the enthusiasm. I’m a bad bad bad administrator. I will do better tomorrow.

I did write some monaboyd hiaku today though, just to see if I could, so the day wasn’t a total loss. :)

My absolute favourite thing that happened today though was at college. There’s a Christmas tree in the foyer and people can make a donation to put a decoration on with a message and all the money goes to The Marletts Hospice, which is their charity of the year. Nice little fundraising idea.

But in front of the tree, presumably for Health and Safety reasons, there are two bollards marking minimum safe distance. And so the bollards don’t look out of place someone has wrapped tinsel around them.

Festive bollards. Fantastic! I wish I’d had my camera. It was like Found Art or something

For some reason the site of the orange bollards covered in shiny golden tinsel just thoroughly amused me. It’s true what they say about little things and little minds

Oh yes – Welcome back [livejournal.com profile] indigo_blind from the LJ wilderness. It’s lovely to see you.
