skylarking: (bored now)
Insanity reigns deep in the heartlands.

We've had a new Internet browser installed at work which is supposed to be faster and more reliable. Lovely. It also apparently had a firewall type thing that stops you going into any dodgy site.

Earlier I was trying to get into the Kent & Sussex area page on our intranet site to update something, and it wouldn't let me in. Whenever I clicked on the link it told me that that page I was trying to access was prohibited.

My colleague was searching for sandwich suppliers in Sussex on google the other day and was having the same problem. He seemed to think it was because the firewall didn't like the word Sussex. Specifically the last three letters of the word.

How hilarious is that? I'm tempted to go home now because the day can't get any better.

I wonder if Middlesex and Essex are having the same problem.

It's been sorted out now and I've updated the page, but the funny thing is if I was searching for Wet and Wild or something I probably wouldn't have had any problems.

so I got up early this morning to have time to watch Lost before I came to work. Stop looking at me like that! :) )

Almost the weekend,
Slow mornings leading free hours.
The clock moves too slow!

Total number of films I own on DVD/video:
47, I have a whole bunch on video but I'm not sure how many

The last film I bought:
What dreams will come. I like this film. I know it's a Robin Williams movie and therefore over sentimental but it looks incredible, and I like a bit of sentimentality.

The last film I watched:
Last film seen – at the cinema – Constantine
At home – What dreams will come

Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me (in no particular order):

Pleasantville – one of my favourite films of all time. Life affirming and gorgeous.

Guys n Dolls –the film that made me fall completely in love with musicals. Marlon Brando singing Luck Be A Lady, Stubby Kay singing Sit Down You're Rocking The Boat, Frank Sinatra singing anything. Classic

LOTR trilogy – duh!

Moulin Rouge – I love Baz Lurman, I love his style and this film has Ewan McGregor singing in it.

Star Wars I suppose, started me down the geek path of Sci Fi

Tag 5 people and have them put this in their journal:

I think most of the people on my F list have done this. Okay, anyone on my F list who hasn't done this yet – I tag you!
