your monkey
Aug. 30th, 2006 06:28 pmMy 'no religion or politics, don't engage' approach was sorely tested today when S came out with a whole string of things that made me wince including a word I was shocked to hear, it was one I knew at 7 years old was not for polite conversation and was amazed she used it in the work place.
I almost said something but decided not to as it would just end in awkwardness for everyone.
I was sat on the bus home thinking about it, and then I started to wonder why I couldn't stop thinking about it, why I couldn't just shrug and say, "she's just one ignorant person, we don't agree, so be it" I don't know why I can't just let it go. Any ideas?
Sod it, I'm going to make myself some tea.
