skylarkingI've been re watching my box set of Wonders of the Universe with Brian Cox.
I'm finding that programmes about how unimaginably huge and ancient the universe are good in an time when it feels like the whole world is turning to shit. It's comforting to know that however terrible and hopeless things feel right now they are an insignificant spec when viewed with a mind to the lifetime of the universe.
And I like how geeky Brian Cox is, how he explains things using what ever is lying around "This mug is the Earth and the sugar cube is the moon..." and how giddy he gets about his experiments.
