skylarking: (pure spirit)
[personal profile] skylarking

Poor disposable Boone. The most interesting thing he's ever done is die.

The only time he's acted with any dignity was when he died, thinking about it. To say to Jack 'look, just let me go' was a mature thing to do. There's a nice irony in the fact that it took being faced with his own mortality to make him grow up – if he had survived he probably would have been a much better (less useless and annoying) person.

I thought Jack was going to bottle out of his wedding at the ceremony. I thought he was going to say, "Sorry, I can't" and run away.

But he didn't – what a star.

So he's married, but he hasn't mentioned it. Maybe they're divorced or something – has anyone noticed a ring?

The guillotine idea for Boone's leg was a bit gruesome. I can't imagine it would have worked.

Sayid – what a gentleman!

Shannon – I didn't cry until Jack told Shannon. Even if she doesn't love Boone back, she's always been aware of how he felt about her and has always been able to rely on him caring for her. Not having that anymore is going to make her have to re-evaluate everything.

Kate – She's much more likeable when they actually give her something to do other than stand around and look pensive. Writers please note.

Sawyer – I love him (I might have mentioned this before). Offering Claire something to eat and looking all smiley at the baby. I want to see him holding the baby, oh yes, I do.

Jin – I'm glad they're having him interact more with the rest of the survivors. I don't think he's a bad person, he's just uptight.

Hurley – didn't faint. Well done!

Charlie - *sigh* Charrrrrrlllllieeeee

I was hoping for more Charlie involvement in the birth, maybe holding Claire's hand or something. But I suppose their relationship hasn't become that intimate, especially since Claire can't remember half of it.

I want lots of shots of Charlie cradling the baby looking down on him with an indulgent smile.

I might not survive it, but what a way to go.

One gripe about the episode was the over use of the word 'bloody'. I'm never sure if that words gets used so much because writers think it's a cute British word, or if it's because it a swear word they can get away with using.

I didn't flail during this episode, but I was getting ready to hide behind my hands when Jack and Michael were going to chop Boones leg off.

(Did anyone else think about Sema's Lost at that part? It made me think of then Billy was getting ready to chop Dom's arm of…how did Sema know!?! :P)

I don't want to wait a week for the next episode.

I changed my login password on my work computer yesterday. I was going to use the word cake, but it was too short so I decided for muffin.

It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now it sounds slightly p0rny. Whenever I have to type it in it makes me smile.

Damnit.....I read it as 'lost thoughts', not 'Lost' thoughts....

Now I know, and I didn't want to! Whoopsey! Ah well, my fault I suppose!

(You had me worried there for a moment though - I thought it was something serious under the cut about your lost thoughts!!!

It sounds like you had pretty much EXACTLY the same set of reactions to this episode as I did.

I was the same (literally just finished watching it). I didn't cry until Shannon lost it at the end there and then I bawled like a baby. I'm such a tool...

I love Sayid more and more....*sigh*

Yeah, I was fine until the wide shot of Jack talking to Shannon and Sayid and Shannon staggered back a couple of steps.

Poor Shannon, but Sayid will take care of her because he's lovely.

I was prepared to let Boone go because he was annoying and useless but I like all the cast now, they aren't allowed to kill anyone else.
