We're having a crisis in the office. The kettle isn't working.

I'm thinking of staging a walk out if I can't have tea.

I've just finished watching the DVD box set of Firefly I was given for Christmas. I can't believe that show was cancelled! It's brilliant!

Firefly was cancelled and yet Everybody loves Raymond is allowed to continue. I don't understand the world sometimes.

I want Firefly icons now. I want a 'you can't take the sky from me' one and one with a picture of Kaylee that says 'shiny'. I love Kaylee, she's a perky little sex kitten.

The price of a wash in the laundrette has gone up. Only by 20p but it's the bloody principle. I'm sick of everything but my wages going up. I was so upset I forgot to put washing powder in the machine.

John Barrowman rules. He was fabulous in The Sound of Musicals and the ice skating thing. I didn't see the results – does anyone know who was voted out?

I need a Captain Jack icon too.

I keep getting the compulsion to change things.

Must change, must change!

Change my job, change my flat, change my hair, change the part of the country I live in.

Change, change, change dammit!!

It's nice to have something to work towards; but I'll have to make sure I've made the right choice before I do anything drastic so I don't end up making a bad decision that I'll regret.

But the problem is I really want to do something drastic. I've been feeling drastic for a week and a half and now that my period is due it's getting worse.

I'm going to try moving things in my flat around a bit to see if that helps.

*twitches*

I just watched the last episode yesterday so I have the special features to work my way though.

And Serenity comes out on DVD in February.

Shiny!

I have yet to see the movie, am going to get it this week though (and I inadvertently stumbled across a HUGE spoiler so be very careful when you're hunting down icons!!! I was not pleased!).

I've seen the movie, but that was after I'd only seen a couple of episodes of the series - it will be much more enjoyable now that I know the characters better

Change your hair colour. That works for me when the drastic change monster appears.

You AND Billy - what a lovely and unexpected treat!

You could totally go lighter with your hair. I'm thinking honey blonde streaks and a side fringe. Your face is a great shape for a cut like that. And streaks aren't as much of a pain as a full change of hair colour for maintaining. *looks at own roots* I really have to do something about that.

My hair was blonde when I was little but grew lighter as I got older.

Thank you for your advice, I'll have a bloody good think about it (although my hair ends up in a centre parting no matter what I do, it has it's own mind :P)

Firefly!
I too got the Firefly boxed set for Christmas, altho it's still in its cellophane as I haven't had time to see it yet. (I have seen the series before tho as a friend lent his dvds to me to watch and got me hooked.)

I spent half the journey home tonight raving about it to one of my students, lol. And telling her about the fan podcast (The Signal).

It's a shame it's never been shown on British TV, you would have thought it's the kind of thing Channel 4 would show.

I hope they make another film.
