I got drenched on the way to work today.
D-R-E-N-C-H-E-D.
It was raining when I left the house, but I had my umbrella and my stubborn Northern streak ("I'll walk, it'll be fine") but halfway there is started to tank down and just when I was starting to think 'maybe I should have caught the train' a car drove through the enormous puddle beside the pavement and soaked me.
If I ever meet that bloke he and I are going to have a conversation.
I was more than halfway to work so I decided to keep going. Laura, bless her, took pity on me when she got in and offered to give a lift home so I could put some dry clothes on. Including a jumper. It's my first jumper since winter - the season is certainly changing. I noticed when I was walking through the park on Sunday that the leaves were starting to change colour and there were conkers on the floor.
(Conkers, for the non-UK people on my F-list, there is a handy dandy explanation about conkers here and here. I think playing conkers is a British thing)
It's definately turning autumnal. Autumnal. I love that word.
It was my first creative writing lesson today. It was good, I think it's going to be fun, there's a nice mix of people and everyone seems very friendly. That was the problem with yoga, much as I enjoyed it you usually find yourself standing on one leg with the other leg waving in the air and your hands in prayer position about your head. It makes chatting difficult.
I think it's time for bed.
Good night F list.
