~ The urge to stand up and shout, "Fuck this shit!" is overwhelming. I think I might have to have a cup of tea and a biscuit.

~ Perhaps someone should explain to Beyonce the irony of singing a song called 'Who Runs the World? (Girls)' while wearing a tiny, tight outfit and writhing around on the floor while surrounded by dancers wearing stockings and suspenders. It's not just me is it?

~ Things that irritate me:
Inconsistent use of bullet point, if you use little square bullet points at the beginning of a document use little square bullet points the whole way through. I don't have OCD or anything but it bugs me.

~ I have recently discovered Horrible Histories. I don't care that it's a kids programme, it's good fun and educational; for example, did you know that we get the word cake from the Vikings? I didn't.

For some reason, yes I did know that the word cake comes from Old Norse. I think I found that out (thanks to wikipedia) when John and I were having a discussion about what words (apart from smorgasbord and gravlax)we use that are Scandinavian that we use in their "native" state...

I have another fascinating fact - the North of England - or at least the part that corresponds to the old Danelaw - has a higher proportion of A group blood, which is the most common group in Norway and Sweden...
